Twice a week the Central Library offers free guided tours for school classes (from the 7th grade onwards) and for adult education groups:
Tuesday 10am (meeting point in front of the outside staircase) and
Thursday 3pm (meeting point in the foyer).
Duration: approx. 1 hour
A guided tour starts with general information on the network of the Vienna Public Libraries (39 branch libraries, etc.) which is followed by information about the structure of the Central Library (6 Colleges, their contents and focal points).
Other important issues: How do I find the requested item? At the library? Via the Internet? In the online catalogue of the Vienna Public Libraries?
Special requests for groups of visitors are accommodated whenever possible.
