Citizen-centred educational counselling

The Vienna Public Libraries participate in the comprehensive project of citizen-centred educational counselling by offering the following three modules:

For a better orientation when navigating through the jungle of educational options: information and personal advice on education and career is offered by the Public Employment Service Austria (AMS), the Vienna Employment Promomtion Fund (WAFF), Vienna Chamber of Labour (AK Wien), peregrina, biwi – no advance registration necessary. Desks for the following topics: labour market and job, career and further training (incl. counselling about grants), general educational counselling.

Mini!courses at the PC workshop
We regularly offer free Mini!courses at the Central Library for beginners, first-time users, and everyone else who is curious: Trial courses offering an introduction to the programs available at the Central Library (College 6) for self-use of the computers as well as hands-on computer workshops.

Mini!courses Good to know
Short lessons on job and personality-related topics whet your appetite for more, and the venue could not be better: exciting, diverse expert literature to continue learning is available right there.
